Simply Energy is certified Climate Active, offering 100% carbon neutral energy plans with no add-ons or traditional costs included. 

It doesn’t offer electricity plans in ACT, WA or TAS and gas plans are not available in QLD, ACT or TAS.

Simply Energy plan breakdown

Simply Energy offers a mixed range of deals and plans. Partnerships with various motoring clubs means it offers exclusive products for club members.

Simply For Good

For environmentally-conscious customers, this plan is Simply Energy's dedicated GreenPower offer.

This plan will match 100% of your energy usage with energy from accredited renewable generators - and only for a small additional cost. Features include:

  • Additional discounts for motoring club members
  • Supporting Australia's renewable future

Simply Movie Perks (VIC only)

This plan rewards customers with Vrewards - Village Cinema rewards points. For electricity and gas plans, customers receive 24,000 Vrewards points per year - 12,000 points per year per fuel. Features include:

Simply Energy Saver (NSW, QLD and SA only)

Simply Blue Perks (VIC and NSW only)

Blue Perks offers great energy discounts alongside a complimentary My NRMA membership for 12 months. Signing up for Blue Perks allows customers to access these features:

  • 12 month My NRMA membership with fuel discounts, grocery discounts, insurance offers and more.
  • Access to MyAccount for easy usage management
  • No lock in contracts

  • Carbon neutral as standard
  • Guaranteed money off supply and usage charges

Simply Smarter (SA only)

This plan offers free smart meter installation at no extra cost, allowing customers to manage their usage easily. Features of this plan include:

  • Using Tracker to monitor and manage electricity usage
  • Monthly billing to encourage staying on top of costs
  • Carbon neutral as standard
  • No exit fees
  • No lock in fees

Customers should note that there are eligibility criteria for this plan:

  • Must not already have a smart meter installed
  • Must not have a solar powered system
  • This is not for multi-occupant sites
  • Must not require a meter upgrade before the smart meter can be installed
  • Must not have asbestos present

Simply Seniors

This plan is an exclusive offer for Senior Concession Card holders across all eligible states. Features include:

  • No paper bill fees
  • No payment processing fees
  • 100% carbon neutral energy
  • No exit fees
  • No lock-in contracts
  • $200 welcome credit (VIC only)
  • Guaranteed discounts on usage and supply charges

Simply Energy - Gas

Customers in NSW, SA, VIC and WA can sign up to gas only plans with Simply Energy. All of the electricity plans can be bundled with the natural gas plans for additional savings.

NRMA and RAA members will get a guaranteed discount on usage costs and supply charges, but only in SA and NSW.

Simply Energy solar plans

Simply Energy does not offer solar panels, but it promises to match customers with one of the preferred solar installers on its website.

The solar specific electricity plan is available to customers in NSW, QLD, VIC and SA and sign-up credits may be available to some customers.

If you do decide to install a solar panel system with one of Simply Energy's preferred installers, you are eligible for a boosted solar feed-in tariff. Features of this plan include:

  • High feed-in tariffs, allowing you to offset energy costs
  • Access to the Tracker to keep an eye on your panel's output
  • Carbon neutral as standard

Customers must either have, or be in the process of installing, a solar panel system with an output of less than 10kW to be eligible for Simply Energy Solar.

Billing information

Simply Energy offers customers plenty of ways to pay their bills. Some of those include:

Simply Energy also offers MyAccount, which is an online management system that can be accessed either online or via the Simply Energy app. From here, you can:

The Simply Energy Tracker allows customers to manage their household energy consumption. It's available to electricity customers who have a smart meter, and Tracker will use those meters to monitor daily usage.

From here, you can gather weekly insights and updates into your peak consumption, average weekly expenditure and more.

Can I get a new smart meter with Simply Energy at no cost?

Yes, but only if you're in South Australia. You can apply to get a new smart meter when you sign up with the Simply Smarter plan.

Is the call centre in Australia?

No, Simply Energy's call centre is in the Philippines.

Who can apply for concession discounts?

If you have an eligible concession card and your address is your primary place of residence, you can ask our team about concession discounts.
